Loop Team Moooooos Letter - June 2026
The biggest news this month may just be that our team involvement and interaction (despite being 100% remote) is GROWING!
A few weeks ago, we launched the 5 Facts Challenge! It was a simple, low-stakes way to get to know each other a little better. Post five facts about yourself, tag a teammate, pass it on.

And then there's the group of sweet, innocent, perhaps unaware team members…your time is coming.
You have not been tagged yet. The chain is moving. It will find you. And when it does, we want the good stuff. The weird stuff. The "I can't believe I'm admitting this to my coworkers" stuff.

This month, Tina (yes, the one who HATES raisins - learned that from the 5 facts!) brings us a book recommendation, and it's a good one!
Tina's pick this month is Culpability by Bruce Holsinger. Here's what she had to say:
"It was an easy read, captivating story with twists in each chapter that kept me page turning. While easy, it was also thought provoking, with the end of most chapters having a little blurb from one of the main characters that got your brain contemplating 'who is culpable' in the world of AI. The book is about a family that has a car accident while a teen driver was at the wheel, but the AI was self-driving the car. The dad in the passenger seat on his laptop working, the mom (a PhD in AI) in the backseat with two younger sisters. Each family member has a different perspective, story, and secret. They all survive the first chapter… the rest of the story weaves through their recovery and learning after the fact. The mom's PhD thoughts on AI has great concepts to mull over on morals, responsibility, and the role of AI in our lives. The book hit home for me in so many ways — teen driver, family dynamics, relationships, assumptions, the moral role of AI. It's 'futuristic' but really not that far off for us all!"
Because life doesn't pause just because there's work to do and frankly, some of you are out here absolutely thriving.
Sarah, June 9th, and Jeff marked 25 years of marriage.
Four days later they became first-time grandparents!!
Welcome to the world, Allan Jeffrey Ficko, born June 13th at 3:41 PM, a very solid 8 lbs 12 oz, to proud parents Lena and Loel.
And in other landmark news -- Megan got her degree!
We always knew she was brilliant, and now she has the paperwork to prove it.
The good news for all of us is that with classes officially behind her, Megan now has more bandwidth to help Jaime keep the rest of us from going completely off the rails. Jaime, you're welcome. Megan, congratulations! We are so proud of you!
Finally, Dan saw a cool rock!
When questioned for an image he responded:
Nope, just saw it and left it in its natural habitat. But it was cool
Oh, and Hailey got married. Technically she eloped...
She didn't want us to make a big deal about this. So, it's just a foot note here now - I'm just trying to be cool.. okay?..
I'm sure Sarah, Megan, Dan and Hailey weren't the only ones hitting milestones this month, so for next time be sure to share with the media comms team so we can celebrate with you!
Let's talk numbers, because these ones deserve a moment:
The Stores
From January to June 2025, Loop started 30 stores. From January to June 2026? 66 stores. That's just over double the pace of last year… and every single one of those stores came to us through organic growth! No cold calls. No sales push. Just current corporate leads sending more stores our way, and franchisees talking to their franchisee friends, who knock on our door asking for Loop.
Of those 66 stores, 29 landed in Ontario and 20 in Atlantic Canada (NS, PEI, NB, and NL) which means a massive shoutout is owed to the ON/ATL pod, who absolutely carried this first half of the year. BC added 9, with the rest spread across MB, AB, and SK.
As for the rest of 2026? Things are looking exciting - though as always, the future keeps its cards close to its chest.
We currently have over 30 stores in conversation, some of which are in "shake the bushes" territory (meaning we need to find the right farms before we can get started). Dan, Mike, and Abby are also working on outreach to stores in areas where our farm waitlists are big, so we can get more farmers involved with Loop!
And keep your eyes on Alberta 👀 things are moving well with Sobeys, and we may be looking at around 22 stores in the Edmonton area (city and suburbs) launching in September, with the rest of AB to follow this fall. Details are still coming together, but we will share more as soon as we have them!
The Farms
For the month of Jun from June 1-23rd so far we have had 350 new farm sign ups. That's "fully signed up" by the New Farms team!
That's not just numbers of people who maybe filled out part of a form and someday might maybe give us farm info... These are REAL FARMS!
And perhaps even better news:
so far we have trained 105 new farms as primary account holders!
More farms. More animals. More Loopers!
The Pods
There have been a lot of exciting changes, new faces, and fresh roles making their way through the scheduling world lately -- and we wanted to make sure you heard it here first!
Unfortunately, our source got cold feet and never made it back to the barn with the details.
Out of an abundance of caution (and a healthy respect for getting things right), we're going to hold this one until we have confirmed intel.
